I decided not to join the local swimmers (frogs, toads, carp, catfish, barbel, eels, water-snakes, crayfish etc) for a dip in Lake Tzaravina, near the Albanian border, but I did enjoy an invigorating short swim in the almost freezing copper-sulphate-tinted turquoise waters of the Voidomatis River below Aristi, Zagori.
The photo, in fact, is a selfie. I was very relieved when they changed me back.
